This week I decided to stop procrastinating and finally build a Unity tool that I have been craving for a while. I really enjoy working on my games and writing down what has to be done on them, but the idea of having to open up another program or sign into it on my other computer always made me just go with the easiest solution, which was, I'll just remember what I have to do and do it. But then the next day came along, and I always spent around ten minutes going through my project, being like hmm what was I doing again?
Anyway, so the solution I came up with was to put it all in one place in Unity, so when I push my project and pull it down, it will all be there, no matter the computer I'm on. I've been using it for the past few days since I built it, and it has really helped with my workflow. I thought I would be just writing down a few notes most nights, but I'm really enjoying the Kanban board, and it's definitely helping me get more work done on my bowling game prototype that I am working on now.
There are still loads of features that I would like to add, like being able to assign a task to a team member, but those can wait. I currently have it in the queue, waiting for approval from Unity, then hopefully it should be available for purchase for €6. Honestly, if I hadn't built it, I would be paying for it because it's really good, I can't lie.
